One by one, the Irregulars climbed up. Once everyone was up, they were cheering.
"WAIT!" cried Lydia, "What about Danielle?"
Everyone was silent.
"THAT'S IT!, she yelled, "If no one will save her, then I will." she turned, ran, took a deep breath, then dived into the freezing water. She saw Danielle on the ground, unconcious. She swam as fast as she could, trying to get Danielle, before she met the same fate.

"Someone go find blankets" Cricket said.
No one moved.
"Now!" Kiki yelled.
Several scattered to comply.
Cricket cleared the floor to the cement. When the blankets arrived (there were four) she place one on the ground and held the other three waiting for the arrival of Lydia and Danielle. If they arrived.
"Anyone other than me know CPR and rescue breathing?" Kiki asked.
"I do" Anaka whispered.
"Then thats your job. I do best when focusing at security" Kiki winked, but the cheer was false.

Lydia swam, then realized that she couldn't grab Danielle, then swim back up, without meeting Danielle's fate. Instead, she got an adrenaline rush, and banged her head through the soaked, thin wooden door, and water spilled out everywhere, as she gracefully rose to the top, gasping for air, then dived to the sinking waters for Danielle, pulled her out, and then her luck ran out.
The water currents, carried both two girls, as Danielle was still unconcious, and Lydia tried to grap the door side, but failed, as she and Danielle, bobbed like the water, up and down, into the deeper part of the Shadow City.

"It's been too long..." Kiki muttered.
Luz pulled out a small rectangular viewing screen in a waterproof case.
"I took the liberty of inserting a tracking device into your arms...except you Cricket, so don't get lost." Luz turned on the screen and watched as the shadow city popped up followed by two red dots, "looks like their further along. If they aren't already dead then the water will have drained by the time they reach the end of the tunnel. They should be able to come out in one of the rooms near china town"
"Then that's were we'll go meet them" Kiki said.

Lydia shook Danielle who was muttering "Get it, have to get it."
"Danielle, honey wake up, it's just a dream." She shook Danielle.
"Wha, who huh?" she gasped.

"Wait," said Indigo pulling up her sleeve and examining her arm closely "you put one in my arm too? when? and why not Cricket?"

"Well obviously because we didn't know her until just a while ago" Luz said sarcastically.
"Be polite" Kiki said, giving Luz a smack.
Cricket laughed, "Don't worry, I'm sure I'll be given the same...administrations soon enough"

"Screw this," Tara muttered and jumped in the water before she could let her mind catch up woth her body and remember the nightmares she'd been having every night, each one which ended in her floating aimlessly in a watery grave. She dived deeper down further. Her legs and arms took over, remembering how she'd loved swimming, before it. She lpushed onward, riding mostly with the current. She saw a couple of heads up ahead. Lydia and Danielle. If she could get there. But she quickly over shot them and had to push to get back. She grabbed them and pulled them close to her. Unfortunatly, she didn't know what to do, her brain hadn't traveled this far in the future. Great going, idiot, she thought angrily. But then inspiration came in the form of a doorway. She kicked to pull her and the others in. She rose with the water and grabbed a trapdoor, opening it and pulling them out. She collapseed on the ground and sucked in deep lungfuls of sweet, sweet air. she didn't inspect her surroundings and didn't worry about how the irregulars would find them. she was simply to tired. she knew she should see if dameille and lydia were ok, but either they were or they werent and there was nothing she could do right now.

The others came through the door to the room just a few seconds later.
Anaka checked their breathing. They seemed to be doing fine. Cricket dragged the three remaining blankets over them.
"If I wasn't afraid of suffocation I'd say we should light a fire. But I'm pretty sure the tunnels are water proof so that means they're pretty air tight.

Tara just lay there. She couldn't believe she'd actually done it. Since it she hadn't even stuck he head under water, neverthless tried something like that. She knew she should get up, but her mind seemed to be frozen to mush and she didn't want to do anything but stay there for ever and ever and forget coherent thoughts. only one phrase came through her mind, and it repeated itself over and over. so dark, so dark, so dark, so dark... but she wasn't sure if it was out loud or in her head. did it really matter?

Cricket looked upon the three of their survivors. Tara was breathing but she didn't look at all comfortable. In fact...no, probably not. But still...it looked enough like what Amelia went through...better to ask then be sorry later.
"Tara..." Cricket started, Tara looked up dazedly, "are you an empath?"

OOC: ooohh there's an idea! Tara shook her head, mentally counted to ten, and forced herself up. "No," she said, brushing herself off. "Just bad memories." She shivered involuntarily. "very bad memories." She didn't even really know all that entitled. She couldn't be empathic. It was just her imagination that helped her to remember that night so clearly. right?

Cricket frowned, "Ok...but if they keep bugging you let me know kay? I know someone who might help you"

Tara nodded. She helped Lydia and Danielle stand up. "You guys ok?" she asked worredly. She still couldn't believe she'd jumped in after them. "you went for quite a swim."
