Christine Chang is Queen Bee, and head of one of the toughest cheerleading teams in NYC.
Only she hates it.
She would rather be exploring with the Irregulars in dark, luminous hallways, instead of doing handsprings in an itchy uniform.
But she can't.
She has to follow in her sister's footsteps, unless she wants to let her family down. (Somethin bout Chinese honor, or whatever), but at night, she explores with the Irregulars, and manages to keep her reputation, and energy level up, by taking energy pills. (a.k.a drugs) She hates it, but its the only way without, again, letting her family down. She is a loyal Irregular, and would save NYC, in a cheerleading uniform, instead of winning Nationals. But you know, cheerleading, and being popular isn't THAT bad, most of the time. Sometimes (ok a lot) she really enjoys it.
