"Really? But I messed up on one of the dance performances!" Lydia protested. "I couldn't tell" Kiki shrugged. Once Danielle left her, and the Irregulars broke apart, Lydia only stayed close friends with Kiki, who over the years, became her best friend.
"You may kiss the bride" the preacher said, as Danielle rose to her tippy toes, and her and Johnathan sealed their vows with a kiss, as the small crowd went into applause.
Alice hung up on the phone, and fell on the ground sobbing. She hasn't cried this hard, since, since.... since that one funeral

STRIKE Are you sure you want to move again? I mean they're so young! And what the hell's up with that man of yours moving to New York without you!? I mean, it wasn't as if I wasn't glad to see him and get updates on everyone but...anyway, why won't you move back to NY? Whats in Canada besides the twins?
CRICKET Yah, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna move again, the kids'll be closer to their dad and Aireyn will have the attention he needs for power control. He's coming up a full healer, Yarrowbell hasn't shown anything. The twins will be a big help, my twins are a handfull. I would love to move to NY, I only get to see Star when he has time off...but its makes more sense for me to move back to my home town you know? Less trouble with customs and stuff. Besides we need the job Star has in NY. I can find ready work back in Alberta. Miss you Kiki!
Cricket put the last of her families collections into a box and packed up the twins into the car.
"Thanks for driving us dad..."
"No problem hon..." Toshi mumbled hopping in the drivers seat.
"Wouldn't let anyone else do it ducks" Maggie replied opening her door, "after all you are running off with my grandbabies!"
They laughed and prepared for that 8 hour flight home to Canada.

* Flash back* The group of Irregulars gathered around the casket. They stood in silence, looking at the poor girls body, theres groups of people, who have aready viewed it, but the Irregulars went there last to avoid questions. A photo of her is placed next to the casket, looking proud.
The photo is Christine Chang, in her cheerleading outfit, smiling with pom poms on her side. In the casket is Christine Chang in a dress, a lack of emotion on her face.
The Irregulars were there, because last Friday, Christine accidently got into a car with a guy who was drunk from a party. They swerved into another car, who was fine, but everybody in the drunk car died, including Christine.
*End Flashback*

Emma left the city that day and took a gray hound from there to Arizona, where she lived in the town of Flagstaff. She sent one email to the others, explaining what was going on and that she had to leave. And then she deleted her email account. Better if they couldn't find her.

Lydia's phone rang, as she gasped at the number and picked it up. "Alice?" "Um, hi I was wondering if you could do a favor for me?" Alice said sniffling. "What?" "C-can you sing at my mom's funeral for me?" "Oh my god Alice! I'm so sorry!" "y-y-yeah she had a drug overdose, a-aand died." "I'll definitly do it, when's the funeral?" "T-tuesday" "Ok, I'll bring sheet music, and have a piece prepared." "T-thanks" "No Problem, that's what friends are for."

Sage stayed with the Irregulars until the end. She knew this would have surprised a lot of people, had they been there to know. They had figures she would turn tail at the first sign of danger. After all, she had tried to kill them. But what they didn't get that after her parents left she'd spent a lot of time looking for one thing: a family. And now she had found it, she would be going down with this ship. After they broke apart, she and Alex talked about moving. Alex wanted to leave the city, go somewhere fresh. Sage couldn't. There were too many memories in New York, holding her there. The Irregulars, the Pistols, and- most importantly- her parents. As if reading her mind, Alex had looked at her big sister sadly. "They're not coming back. They left and they're not coming back." "But they have to. You were just a baby, but, but i remember them. They loved us." "Forget about them. Let's get out of here." "I can't." Alex looked at her with an emotion she never had before- contempt. "Fine. Stay here, holding onto the past. I'm leaving." The next day she was gone, on a bus to southern Indiana she said. They hadn't seen each other since.

"Near Far Wherever you are I am here and the heart does the heart do go on and on" Lydia sang, as a small group of people cried, and Alice stood in the front pew wiping away tears from a hankercheif in her black dress. Afterwards, Lydia left quickly for glee club practice. Sectionals were coming up. They were doing three songs. It started with Lydia's solo, and two group performances.

before the irregulars broke up... Tara stayed with Cricket until the baby was born. Her family took care of her. not once did she have to talk to her mother or ask her for help. While the absence of her family kept Tara up at night, she was fairly happy. That all changed when the baby was born. She was in labor for twelve hours, and when the thing finally popped out and she could have visitors, Cricket came by. She had looked at the baby girl and said, "You've got another Irregular rihgt here," Cricket has said. Tara had closed her eyes and tried to imagine her beautiful baby daughter putting herself in the same danger she had. "No,' Tara finally said. "We don't." "What? She might enjoy it." "she's not going to be like that. It's too dangerous. She could get hurt." Cricket was silent for several minutes. "And what if she's an empath. What then?" "No.She can't be. That's too much. she won't be." "You can't just choose. She's a person, not a doll." "She;s a living person. and she's going to stay that way. I'm sorry, but she's staying away from the Irregulars. And so am I. You can tell kiki i quit." "Don't do this." "I have to." And that was the last time they had spoken.

Lydia was in her outfit for sectionals, which was a long sleeve, with jeans. She stood in behind the closed doors, and singing in the micrphone attached to her, she sang: There's a place downtown, where the freaks all come around. It's a hole in the wall. It's a dirty free for all.
The music started blaring as Lydia opened the door, and started dancing to the stage.
When the dark Of the night comes around. That's the time, That the animal comes alive. Looking for Something wild.
She threw on a pair of sunglasses, and took the motion of riding a car. And now we lookin' like pimps In my gold Trans-Am. Got a water bottle full of whiskey In my handbag. Got my drunk text on I'll regret it in the mornin' But tonight I don't give a I don't give a I don't give a
She started dancing, and when her group started to chant Take it off, Lydia tore off the long sleeves, and pant of jeans, making it a tank and shorts. As they finished in their pose, when the lights turned off, they hurried off stage getting ready for there next performance of Telephone, and Wild Wild Party.
Little did Lydia know that Danielle was watching the whole thing from the crowd.

Cricket and the kids were in Alberta. In Crickets case back in Alberta. Ah Canada; home of maple syrup, rocky mountains, fresh air, open plains, deep valleys, and the vast majority of her family. The first thing she noticed touching down in the city of Calgary was how polite everyone was. She had forgotten that aspect of Canadian life. Literally, everyone said sorry when two people ran into each other, all the people you met were willing to help you out if you were lost or in a jam. The second thing she noticed was how much space there was. After spending life in New York and then in England (most of the places they lived in were crowded) this was isolation.
Just the thing they needed right now.
Crickets aunt Sharron picked her up from the airport and drove her to the house that her parents still kept in good repair. Augusta and Seth had moved to New York on what was a bit of a whim but they had kept all of their stuff in Canada and rented out their split level house to traveling families and friends.
Once there the twins picked up the trail of travel. The group re-stocked on supplies and headed off on the three hour drive to the middle of nowhere on the outskirts of BC.
The twins were 12. Aireyn had come into his powers at just the right time. However they were still vulnerable and Cricket could see that by the way they talked to each other and the way that Aireyn was avidly watching the flying scenery out his window trying to fixate on the fluctuations of life that was all around them.
*Flash back* The twins had just turned 10. They had just moved to Japan. It wasn't as if it was hard to understand anyone, no they were quite fluent in Japanese, but they were definitely mixed race and so everyone was giving them very rude looks. Not to mention they had been called Gaijin several times at school and had been told to go home. It would be a long two years.
_________________________________________ Cricket watched her children come into their respective abilities. Aireyn's healer abilities were lightly surfacing, he probably wouldn't come into them fully until he turned 12 mere months away. Yarrowbell had expressed her interest in weapons a few months after arriving in Japan and had been enrolled in multiple weapons and martial arts classes. She had progressed so quickly as to be called a genius and was currently the apprentice to several masters.
They would soon be going home. Star had been offered a job at a University in New York that paid more than they could have dreamed so he had left last week. Cricket and the twins were staying until they finished their year and then they would be heading back to England to pack their things and move to Canada. Just in time for training to begin with Amelia and Alistair.

Lydia whooped with her team, as they changed quickly from their Lady Gaga inspired dresses, to red dresses, and the boys put on red shirts, and a golden tie and vest. After two of the team performed, they made their way up to the stage, in darkness. Finally the spotlight focused on Lydia as she sang her first line. i]"God has said..."[/i][[/b][

Tara took some of the things she had gotten from her parents when she was younger (jewlry, heirlooms, etc) and sold them to buy a smallish apartment. She got a job at a Renaissance themed amusement park (mostly due to her accent) with child care. Things weren't easy, but she made it, not once calling the irregulars or her mother for help.

The car made a slow turn into an off-highway dirt road. The trees were larger and greener than they had been before. Yarrowbell looked out the window and spotted Ivy, Lavender, and various types of Mint scattered sporadically thoughout the pine trees. Aireyn was buzzing in excitement as he rolled down his window letting in the delicious mingling scent of the plant life.
The ride through ws dark and then suddenly, there was light. They had emerged from the forest only to come face to face with a giant lake, far off in the distance you could see the shape of a huge island. Cricket and the twins looked up and saw mountains surrounding them.
"Where are we?" Cricket asked, the twins only nodded their heads in agreement with the question, they were in awe.
"We bought this little jem a while back" Alistair replied.
"We planted the vast amount of this forest surrounding us, we own the lake and the island too" Amelia finished.
"How do we get there?" Aireyn inquired.
"Boat" Amelia said shortly.
Alistair groaned, "Row boat..."

"Hon, guess what?" Danielle said, scrubbing a dish in their apartment. "What?" "Would you mind if I saw an old friends performance on Saturday?" "But, I thought we were going to see the movie Casablanca on Saturday." "Please?" "Fine, we won't go." He said, annoyed,"As always" he muttered. "What's that supposed to mean?" She asked, her voice rising higher. "I mean, everytime you make a plan, I always make time for you, but whenever I make a plan, you always CANCEL!" Johnathan shouted.

After a few years, Tara had enough money to pay for a baby sitter so that she could go to night school. After she had graduated, majoring in historical artifacts, she got a job at the Museum of Natural History coordinating galleries. They had more money and were easy to get a better house, though it was never perfect.
