"It's not my fault!" Danielle yelled. "It's not my fault that everything's slipping right out of my hands!" Johnathan yelled even louder. Danielle ran out, crying into her hands. Running into the New York Street, she sat on a bench, sobbing, bracing herself for Johnathan to say "We're Through". A few minutes Johnathan came out on the bench, and hugged her tight. "I'll never leave you alone. I remember how we felt sitting by the water, and everytime I look at your beautiful face, it's like the first time, I fell in love with a careless woman's careful daughter, she is the best thing, that has ever been mine."

They made three trips. One by one they all arrived on shore with their luggage and the three newcommers to the island stepped back and did a double take as they looked around them. The island was HUGE. If you looked to your right and left you could make out a tiny cluster of lights,
"Our neighbouring villiages, we own them too though" Amelia interjected.
The trees were taller than any they had seen even as they were coming up the driveway. The whole place smelled of water, mountains, pine, lavander, mint, and ivy. The dock they now stood on had a little hut built beside it. Through the windows you could see bicycles and other wheeled modes of transportation.
They slowly tooking in the cobblestone path that blened into the surrounding wilderness leading up to the main (or royal as the twins liked to call it) villiage. The group piled things onto little carts that they then attatched to the back of their bikes and they all peddled up to the Castle.
"Castle? Why call your house The Castle? Isn't that a bit presumptuous?" Cricket asked the twins.
"No. Thats what it IS..." They both replied slyly and peddled off faster.
"If you two ever turn out like them," Cricket said turning to her kids, "I will fley you alive!"

"We were having a wild wild party.." the choir sang, as they locked their hands together, and lifted Lydia up, bouncing her up, and down, after 2 eight counts of improv dancing on their hands, she flipped off, and landed it, smiling to the crowds applause. "And we're inviting you!" They finished, in strict pose.
"If you want, you can go with me" Danielle said, "You sure?" "I'm sure" she breathed, leading him by hand to the apartment, then locked their bedroom door.

Just like they had said, it WAS a Caslte. And it was HUGE. But instead of going threw the front door like your average people they took a turn off into the forest, leaving the bikes behind and pulling the wagons. The path was well worn but rickety, the forest was dense. They trudged on for a few minutes and then the twins stopped. Both of them pressed two knots on two different trees. A whole section of the forest moved to reveal an entrance to a maze.
The twins walked quickly into maze.
:stay close: They mind called.
There were so many twists and turns everyone was lost by the time they had reached a little gazebo.
The twins helped pull the wagons onto the gazebo platform and then they knocked on the floor three times.
The floor lowered. All of them were transported by...gazebo elevator down into the earth. A new platform closed above them to hide their path.
The elevator stopped and they were in a long dark passage way.
:Welcome to The Forgotten Path: The twins intoned.
:Are you mimmiking the shadow city?: Cricket questioned
Aireyn and Yarrowbell looke confused.
:We didn't name it: Aireyn said.
:We didn't even build it: Amelia continued.
:We did modify it: They finished together.
They both indicated a marker on the wall. It was in japanese.
"The Forgotten Path, here walked by us in exile and made before us..." Yarrowbell whispered.
"It was probably made by the chinese who where in exile from the US and in Canada, after the railway they were no longer needed. Then when the Japanese came over and WWII started they were exiled and they used this place as a hideout" Aireyn whispered in reply.

Danielle just sat down with her husband, and less then a minute later the lights turned black, and an electronic voice sang "There's a place down town where the freaks all come around.." A few seconds later, the back doors flew open, as a blond chick started singing who sounded a lot like... Lydia
It couldn't.. right? But it was. "That's her" Danielle whispered, as Johnathan raised an eyebrow amusingly.

Tara paced the small kitchen of her apartment. It was 10:30 but she was still up. How could this have happened. She had gotten fired earlier that day. She needed that job. The bills were due in week and she was flat out of cash. What was she going to do? She was stifling a sob when a five year old Catie walked in. "Mommy?" she asked. "Oh, hey, honey. Why aren't you in bed? It's late," Tara plastered on a smile and turned to her daughter. "I knew you were sad, and it woke me up. Why are you sad, Mommy?" Tara felt a cold chill circulating through her body. "What do you mean, 'you knew I was sad?'" "I just knew. I know you're sad. What's wrong Mommy? You can tell me." "No," Tara said, trying to sound firm. "I'm not sad. I'm fine. And you can't tell what other people are feeling, honey. It just doesn't work that way." "Sure it does. I know what you're feeling all the time. And not just you. Tons of people. all sorts of people. I can tell what they're feeling." "No. You can't now go back to bed." "But, Mommy-" "Now." Catie stuck out her bottom lip and sulked back to her room. As soon as she was gone, Tara reached over and hit the wall. Which just left a hole in the wall and a bruise on her knuckle. But she couldn't bring herself to care about how much it would cause to fix. She sighed and buried her head in her hands. She couldn't have it, she couldn't have it, she couldn't have it, she silently told herself. Please, God, don't let her have it. Don't let her be like that. As if wishing had ever gotten her anywhere before.

"hey! common!" Indigo was still a kid, almost eighteen and impatiently waiting the last few months before she could more out "lets try in here!" they were playing a game of hide and go seek/monster tag/scavenger hunt deep below NYC they girls started out in teams of two one hiding, the bait, and one seeking, the hunter, then had to battle their way to the top, seeing who could capture the most girls without letting the bait be captured by another team. It was an ingenious game created by Kiki in a time of relatively few mysteries.
"shhh!" her team mate hissed and melted into the shadows, Indigo did the same, waiting waiting, waiting, pounce on the unsuspecting victim! Dang! it wasn't a hunter or bait, just one of the zombie decoys. The girls were just about to fall into a mock battle against the zombie and when a sharp whistle rang through the corridors. That meant it was two am, a quick report back to kiki to make sure everyone was still alive and then time to go home and sleep for a few hours before school.
"bye! see you tomorrow!!!" Indigo set off down the street to the nearest subway station and then towards her sleeping home.

**WARNING!!** **NOT PG RATED**
"goddamnit" it was eleven thirty and indigo had no money to buy her lunch, more specifically, she had no wallet. "where-the-hell?" she muttered to herself as she walked out of Taco Bell, eh what was next period? PE? She could skip. She got on her skateboard and road the few short blocks home going into her room to find the control for the radio chip Luz had given her.
The signal was somewhere in the middle of Chinatown, near the headquarters of the fu tsang (sp?), but it was faint, deep underground, she must have lost it during the game last night.
Indigo texted a few others to see if they wanted to come but no one answered immediately and she was going to be late for English if she didn't hurry.
She found her wallet with the help of the tracker and looked around to find the nearest exit, but then she heard voices, a woman, shrill and demanding, and a man, or possibly two, deep and heavily accented.
As quietly as she could Indigo snuck up to the door and pressed her ear against it "those filthy bitches!...going to...them...a hundred thousand...apiece" "but...murder...Oona...Mr...our lives...not worth..." "I DON'T CARE! You will kill those girls! and...you don't...pay...hit men...police...kidnapping..." "...thats blackmail!" "and you haven't...a thing on me" Chairs scrapped backward on hard cement a sound like nails on a chalkboard. Indigo scrambled backward but wasn't fast enough.
"how convenient, here's the first one, hand delivered" the princess grinned "I want her messed up good!" "I don't know Your highness" the man replied still holding Indigo's arms behind her back "fine, your fired, leave" she punched a button on her phone "THERON! GET OUT HERE NOW!" from inside the room another figure came slowly towards them.
Indigo ran. Theron chased. Indigo hid. Theron found. Indigo screamed. Theron laughed.
She lay half naked on the floor, bloody and bruised, crying until she ran out of tears.

OOC: alright that's what i figured. so tara's already quit. IC: Tara was walking through the city. It was one of those rare moments when she could afford to hire a baby sitter for Catie and didn't have to work. She was just walking, losing herself in thought. It took her several minutes to realize that she was subconciously tracing the Shadow City route. Everywhere she looked, she could see a little golden I stamped on the ground. She kept walking until she got to Chinatown. She knew she was now near the Fu Tsang headquaters and knew she should probably turn back. What good was there in being here? But she kept walking nevertheless. She ducked behind a building. There was someone comingout of the building. There were two women and a man. Despite the fact that she hadn't seen them in two years, she knew the women were Sidonia and Livia. Shedidn't recognize the man, but he looked big and strong and evil. After they had left, Tara made a snap decision. She ran into the building. It was dirty and dark. There seemed to be people in each room, but they were to doped up to notice her. She went through the main hallway, opening each door and peering into it. She tried the room at the end of the hall. Unlike the others,it was locked. Tara reached into her pocket and her fingers curled around the credit card. She pulled it out and tried to pick the lock. But there was a deadbolt. Tara knew, for some reason, that she had to get in that room. She stood back and kicked at the door. It sung open, tearing free of it's lock. She ran in and looked around. The room was empty except for one person. Lying on the floor, beaten, bloody, and only half dressed was Indigo. Tara gasped and ran forward. She reached down and grabbed her."Indigo," she whispered. "Indigo, can you hear me?" her first impulse was to ask if she was alright, then realize how stupid a question that really was. Instead she said. "Are you alive?" OOC: how about this is how Indigo got prego with Izzie? just a thought.

OOC: great minds think alike that's what I planned, that's why Izzy and Indigo have such a bad relation because even though she loves her more than anything, Indigo cant stop seeing Izzy as a reminder of what happened. "Are you alive?" who was that? Tara? What a stupid question. She was dead. Dead, dead, dead. And if she wasn't already she ought to be after what happened, oh god. She let out a choked half sob half scream and began to cry again.

"Shhh... shhhh..." Tara murmered, rubbing Indigo's dirty hair. "Shhhh... You'll be fine. I know you will. But right now we have to get out of here." She slipped off her jacket and slipped it on over Indigo's shirt, which was torn down the front. She tried to help her stand, but Indigo just fell to the floor again. Tara reached down and grabbed her in a fireman's hold, carrying her out of the horrible, horrible room. They reached the door and Tara started to open it when the knob started to turn. In came the two women and the man from before. Tara could feel Indigo shaking against her in silent sobs and knew, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that this was who had done this to her. Filled with a blinding rage, Tara set Indigo to the side and attacked, punching the man in the jaw. "Another one," he said, smiling and rubbing his jaw. "Not in this lifetime, jerk," Tara answered, kicking him in the nuts.

A nightmare, that's it, that's all it was, a bad dream, nothing real. She lay still eyes closed for what seemed like forever trying to convince herself it was true but afraid to wake up completely in case it wasn't. Her exhausted body forced her back to sleep. The scene played itself out again and again running through tunnel after tunnel climbing up a ladder only to end up in a locked room, him climbing up the ladder... She jolted upright, the half formed scream in her throat coming out as a pitiful squeak. She was in new clothes, in a bed, in a room, somewhere she didn't recognize, the door handle turned slowly and terror coursed through her body.

Tara came into the room. She started when she saw Indigo awake. "It's alright," she whispered. She realized what a lie this was and corrected herself. "It'll be alright. You're at my new place. I took you hear after... after we left that place." "And, and him?" Indigo whispered. Tara's face fell. "He's still out there. I was beating him for awhile, but then reinforcements showed up and it was all I could do to get us out of there. I'm sorry." "no, it's not your fault." Indigo was still looking around frightened. "You'll be safe here. You're in my bedroom, I'll be out in the living room, by the door. No one will get in here. Now, it's 2 am, you should probably get some rest. I'll bring you some food in a little while. If you hear any crying, it's just Catie, my kid. I'll take care of it. You worry about sleeping."
